Scott Flynn
When Scott first encountered the nondual teachings, he wandered from book to book, video to video, and teacher to teacher, sincerely seeking but without a clear understanding of the path itself. Having experienced firsthand the confusion that can prolong the spiritual search, his work is now devoted to making the nondual Direct Path to Self-realization clear and visible for others.
Over the past decade, Scott has immersed himself in the teachings of Advaita Vedanta, the Vedic tradition of Nondual Knowledge, through dedicated study, self-surrender, and thousands of hours of Self-inquiry. His understanding has been shaped by the teachings of Rupert Spira, Michael James, and Sri Ganga Maa, while remaining deeply rooted in the Self-Knowledge teachings of Advaita Vedanta as revealed by Sri Ramana Maharshi and Sri Muruganar.
Scott’s path has also been deeply enriched through his friendship with Ravikant (Ravi) Kolli, who brought him to India and immersed him in its spiritual culture. Together they visited ashrams and sacred communities in Rishikesh, New Delhi, Devprayag, and Tiruvannamalai, including Sri Ramanasramam, where Scott stayed in the presence of Sri Ramana’s enduring legacy. During this pilgrimage, Scott also attended satsangs with Sri Ganga Maa at Sri Jnana Ganga Mandiram, conversd with David Godman, and had dialogue and satsang with the living sage Sri Vanamali and Advaita teacher Jagjot Singh.
Scott’s connection to Advaita Vedanta continues through his friendship with Suresh Natarajan, who leads talks at Red Mountain Ashram in Seattle, Washington. Red Mountain refers to Arunachala, the sacred mountain where Sri Ramana Maharshi lived and revealed the Direct Path to Self-realization. The ashram’s earliest beginnings were supported through the devotion and shared efforts of Ravi, Suresh, and Scott. Through Red Mountain Ashram, Scott also met and attended satsang with Swami Anubhavananda Saraswati, known as “The Smiling Swami” of India.
Today, Scott brings the often abstract teachings of Advaita Vedanta to life through clear, detailed graphics, guided meditations, practical exercises, and simple explanations, pointing sincere seekers to the source of happiness and the practice by which peace, freedom, and fulfillment are directly experienced—the same pointers that set him free.
Since 2021, Scott has shared the nondual understanding through books, videos, private talks, and group dialogues. He is the author of Love Outpouring and The Intimacy of Being: An Interactive Guide to Self-Realization.
Scott previously founded two Certified Benefit Corporations and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
