Overview

The Intimacy of Being: An Interactive Guide to Self-Realization is a practical and experiential approach for those seeking lasting inner-peace, fulfillment, and the direct experience of happiness. Rooted in a profound Western understanding of the nondual Eastern knowledge of Advaita Vedanta, the book seamlessly bridges an aspirant from their restless mind into their ever-peaceful Heart (Self) through clear English language, interactive exercises, diagrams, and meditative practices.

The book unfolds in two sections:

  1. Understanding the Nature of Happiness – A conceptual exploration of the mechanics of separation, and the tremendous value attained by the remembrance of one’s Being.

  2. The Practice to Attain Happiness – Phase-by-phase guidance in self-surrender and Self-inquiry, two complementary practices leading to Self-realization (Happiness) and the direct-experience of one’s true Self (Being).

Through reflective exercises, visual tools, and practical methods, aspirants are invited to directly investigate their inner-workings, transcending egoic limitations to discover the ever-present peace, love, and wholeness that define Reality itself.

The ultimate aim of the book is simple yet profound: to help aspirants fall deeply back in love with their own Being and rest in the Eternal stillness, silence, and happiness that have always been at the core of who they are.

Scott shares the understanding of Self-Knowledge (Nonduality) for those who sense that lasting peace cannot be found through endless self-improvement. After years of internal conflict and suffering, clarity arose through the Self-Knowledge revealed in the teachings of Nonduality. This website explores this understanding and the freedom it reveals.
